Hemangi is an active member of governing board.
In last 16 years Hemangi has dedicatedly worked in the areas of Education, Child Rights, child psychology
and paediatric HIV / AIDS through reputed local ( Vatsalya Trust, Swadhar, India Sponsorship committee)
national ( MelJol) as well as international organisations (Unicef). Her area of passion is school
education.
She was involved in giving direction to the programmes, planning, implementation, monitoring and
evaluation of small as well as big projects, plan and execute advocacy efforts for specific subjects,
training of master trainers, networking with government (state and district level) as well as
non-government organisations.
From her work experience she has developed a good perspective in the area of Education, child rights,
children with special needs and gender. As a part of her work she has written and contributed into many
booklets / books mainly on the subject of school education. Considering her contribution in the education
sector, she was invited and thus worked as an active member of School Curriculum Revision Committee for
Maharashtra State from 2011 – 2013 and D.El. Ed. Curriculum Revision Committee in 2014-15.
She is acting as a convener for Maharashtra RTE forum, which is attached to the National RTE Forum.She
has obtained two MA degrees (Social work and Education) from reputed Universities, i.e. Pune University
and Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
